Welcome to Brown and Forrest

Brown and Forrest is a small family run smokery, started 31 years ago here in Somerset, we produce the finest smoked eel and salmon as well as a whole range of delicious smoked foods including smoked chicken, duck, lamb and trout. We stock over forty products in our shop which is attached to our award winning restaurant. We also send mail order all over the UK and supply wholesale to customers such as The Hawksmoor Group, Scotts, The Gilbert Scott, Raoul's Deli & Restaurant, Brooks Club and Fortnum and Mason.

Evening Meal

SS - Smoked Scallops - 6 x Smoked Scallops - Seared over a hot log fire and smoked for a mere ten minutes. The result is stunning, the fish keep their natural sweetness whilst holding the gentlest of smoked flavour. They can be eaten either cold, or heated through for a hot option.

MKP - Mackerel Pate - Delicious, slightly coarse yet creamy with just a hint of lermon, simply must be tried!

Customer Smoking

Calling all fishermen
If you would like us to we can smoke any Trout or Salmon that you may catch. We use exactly the same methodology that we use for our own award winning products and can either hot or cold smoke the fruits of your labours for you.
We will slice and pack it into manageable quantities for you or leave it as whole sides which ever you would like.
The feed back we have had from people has been fantastic and it all freezes beautifully for you to store and use as you'd like to.
